Free Healthy Kids Talk

Theresa Albert

St. David Catholic School Council

Will be hosting an evening with Theresa Albert

Topic: Top Five Ways to Help Kids be Healthy!

As a registered nutritionist, Theresa Albert, DHN, RNCP, has a passion for simple and economic answers to today’s food and nutritional challenges. In an effort to help those who were too busy to help themselves, she started her personal chef business: Thyme For Supper, and wrote and published her best selling cookbook Cook Once a Week, Eat Well Every Day. Theresa’s journey to teach those to make “time for supper”, resulted in Food Network Canada’s popular show Just One Bite. A consultant as well as a dynamic media spokesperson and motivational speaker, Theresa reinforces that food is the very centre of our worlds and it is the cornerstone of our health, culture, economy and social lives.

I love food, try to watch my weight, know more than I want to about healthy living (sometimes I wish I knew less so I wouldn’t feel so guilty when I stumble), am a daughter, sister, friend, mom and wife who worries and scurries the meals onto the table. It is for all these reasons that I completed my nutrition, RNCP designation, wrote my book, hosted my Food Network show, consult with food companies to urge them to get it right (or at least better), constantly write about it, research it, all of this so I can cut through the nutrition and food “news” clutter. Happy to share with friends!
