Alive and Kicking – Harder Than Ever

Hello my friend in foodies!

As we head into the final quarter of 2011 I reflect back on the first three quarters and realize one thing; Change is hard! I started out this year with a clean slate, a great chat with Theresa Albert on taking what I refer to as my ‘almost fit body’ and making it healthier, fitter and stronger by following along with her and her her then brand new book, Ace Your Health.

And yes, I repeat, change is hard! This is not to say I haven’t made any positive changes so far this year. I have, and I am glad for them. As far as blogging about them, unfortunately I have fallen behind by a full quarter and I am hoping to catch up soon. In regards to following along with the book and performing the weekly challenges from each chapter, I have fallen behind as well. I should say we have fallen behind as Anita and I are in this together. We’re striving to catch up with this aspect as well but it’s been trying times attempting to stay on top of the situation.

By the time we get to the end of the year, we would like to think we’ll be ready to continue into the new year, wiser, and more comfortable with improving our habits, being wiser shoppers, more disciplined eaters and put this years knowledge gained to a practical habitual lifestyle and not feel so much like we are in a constant student like learning period.

For those that have been following along at all, I thought you may be interested to know that we are both, 3 weeks away from the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon and with Theresa’s help, we are happy to say we are positive this will be our best ones yet. Time will tell and we will be sure to report back.

Stay tuned and be ready for a flurry of reports on the many chapters we have yet to blog about.
