Best of the Book

The recipes in this book are truly worth ranting about. I love that they are organized by season, not only in the ingredients being used, but also in the type of meal you want to be eating. In the spring and summer lighter dishes like garlic pesto roast chicken and strawberry-sour cream ice cream, in the fall heartier offerings like crispy potato cake with garlic and herbs and black walnut cake.

Instructions are straight forward and ingredients are wholesome and simple. This is old fashion family cooking at it’s finest.

Needs Improvement 

There isn’t anything I could really suggest for this book. The presentation is clean and photos are stellar. The stories are interesting and the content is great. It’s an all around winner.

Target Audience

This is a wonderful book for anyone who wants a reference book of seasonal eating. Honest, simple, family food for people of with all levels of cooking experience.
