Foie Gras Ban

I spoke with Dan Matheson at CTV news about the California ban on duck liver: my POV on whether it disgusting or delicious.


The issue for many is the force feeding of ducks that actually make their livers unhealthily fatty.  If you talk to the farmers who produce it, they will tell you that the ducks would actually fatten up in the winter on their own, they like to eat as much as we do.  Cruelty or delicacy? I think that is a personal choice that each of us has to make and look at ourselves in the mirror.  Here is the clip…

I love food, try to watch my weight, know more than I want to about healthy living (sometimes I wish I knew less so I wouldn’t feel so guilty when I stumble), am a daughter, sister, friend, mom and wife who worries and scurries the meals onto the table.
